InnovaQuartz is proud to announce receipt of a Notice of Allowance for our new ProFlex™ LDD75 side fire fiber on September 8th, 2015.
The ProFlex LDD75 is the first of what will be a series of disruptively efficient side firing fibers of laser surgery. We are currently gathering data for FDA approval and it’s looking like we’ll be able to release this first design by the end of the first quarter of 2016.
ProFlex LDD75 emits laser radiation at roughly 75 degrees at lower divergence than AMS’ MoXy™ with a larger spot that is ideal for faster ablation using 200W of diode energy or up to 180W of thulium energy; that’s where we’ve been testing them in contact with tissue with 96% finishing 200W cases; we are working on that 4%.
The patent is expected to formally issue in January, 2016, just in time for market release.
